Sometimes we can learn from the tenacity of a tree. They give us air to breathe, shade to keep cool, branches to climb and vines to swing from. Some delight us in the autumn with their changing colors. Others with their majestic beauty as they glisten with their coats of snow. Some gift us with their fruit, others with their nuts. Some stop us in our tracks with their beautiful blossoms. Trees are poems that earth writes upon the sky, We fell them down and turn them into paper, That we may record our emptiness. ~Kahlil Gibran The oaks and the pines, and their brethren of the wood, have seen so many suns rise and set, so many seasons come and go, and so many generations pass into silence, that we may well wonder what "the story of the trees" would be to us if they had tongues to tell it, or we ears fine enough to understand. ~Author Unknown The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity... and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself. - William Blake
