It's been a pretty dicey couple of days since someone started the fire just north of Slide Rock Park on May 20th. We saw it go from a few acres to hundreds then thousands of acres. At this time it's over 20,000 acres. The fire moved north, away from Sedona, towards Flagstaff. It did jump a line, but that spot fire has been contained. To date, there has been no loss of structures or human life and that's a beautiful miracle in and of itself. Fighting a fire in canyons with such windy, dry conditions can be a challenge to say the least.
'Consequences' of the fire:
I would like to thank all those out there working to contain the fire. I'd also like to thank those who post updates and keep us informed, such as the Slide Fire Information Facebook page. If you would like to see some amazing photos of the Slide Fire go to http://www.jaysoncoil.com/slidefire. He took some shots that show just how close the fire was to some structures. Last, but not least, please keep all those affected by and those fighting the fires in your prayers. - Adrienne :)

If you haven't seen Heaven Is For Real, I suggest checking it out. I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie, but I found it to be touching, profound at times, I did need kleenex here and there and the actor who portrays Colton, the little boy who visited heaven, is adorable. This movie raises a lot of very good questions and reflections. The father was conflicted - he preaches about heaven yet was having a hard time believing his son had been there. A woman struggled with the question of why her son died and Colton came back. I really liked how the father answered (paraphrasing): Do I love my son more than you love yours? Do you love your son more than I love mine? Do you think God loves one over another? What was probably my favorite point was towards the end of the movie when the father was preaching (and I'm paraphrasing): We see snippets of Heaven every day, but how often do we focus on the Hell? How true. We do have a choice where we place our perspective, where we focus our attention. After the movie, I stopped by the restroom and heard a woman crying. I asked if she was ok and she said 'yes,' that it was a good reason she was crying. She had watched the same movie and said she "felt" her deceased mom and then was given a sign that left no doubt in her mind that it was her mom. She was absolutely overcome with surprise, joy, happiness and love for her mother. How beautiful is that? - Adrienne :) A few years ago I was in a major rut. I wasn't sure what I had to do to change, to move out of that rut. That was my prayer that I continually sent up - "How do I get out of this rut?" One day it "came" to me that I needed to smile. Smile? In those days, I truly felt I had nothing to smile about. I wasn't about to walk around pasting a fake smile on my face. I might have looked miserable, but at least it was genuine. Thus, it came to me to start small - baby steps. I was to put a smile (using a colon and right parenthesis) after my name. I was to do this every time I signed my name no matter what. So, I did. If any of you have received correspondence from me, you will notice that my name is followed by a :) There were definitely times when I was in no mood to add on a smiley face, but I did it and that always got me thinking on how to come out of the mood. Now that I've mastered the :) - I work on having one on my face. It has taken me a few years to get to this point, but more and more often there is a smile on my face and it's genuine. I'm learning that smiles can be contagious, put you in a good mood and they can help your body relax. That little step helped pull me out of a rut, helped shift my attitude and view on life and has connected me more to my Spirit. Sometimes, it is the smallest steps that can make a huge difference. - Adrienne :) Have you seen the documentary E-motion? Watch the trailer below for more information on how these energies are most likely affecting you. Most people don't realize the roles energy plays in our lives. I've dealt with a lot of my own personal emotional baggage and am so grateful this path was presented to me. One of the things that I love about the Emotion Code is that you can learn to do it for yourself. Dr. Nelson actually has a special offer on his site where you can download his starter program for FREE. This includes The Emotion Code eBbook, Audio Book and flowcharts. If you'd like to experience a session for yourself, click The Emotion Code button below. If you'd like to try a slightly different modality that is more intensive, click on the Energy Blockage Release button below to learn more.
