July saw the first ever Chakra Candle Ceremony (that I've led) which took place on the beach in San Diego, CA. Many thanks to the beautiful Souls who shared in that experience. It was truly magical and powerful - even the dolphins made an appearance. This ceremony is one where we use the elements to nourish our chakras. It also involves sending healing to the planet. It looks like I'll be traveling again soon. Stay tuned as I may be headed to your area if you're interested in participating.
This past month has definitely taught me quite a bit about the power of prayer. I do believe that when people join together with an intention and 'lift it up in prayer' (send that intent energy) miraculous things can and do happen. In the case of my Grandpa, the prayers did not bring him home in the physical, but I know they brought him and my family comfort. In the case of my niece who was seriously ill, the intents of healing, sent with love, helped bring her out of her illness. I thank everyone who kept myself and my family in their prayers.
I know one way to help make a prayer more powerful is to actually visualize what it is that you're intending. In the case of my niece I would picture her healthy and smiling her beautiful smile. Some people send healing energy to those in need. What's important here is to send it with the intention that it go wherever the person needs it most. We tend to think we know where someone may need healing light, yet we can often be mistaken. So, if you send healing light/energy, I'd suggest you have the intent that it go to wherever that person needs it most.
