Welcome to BE from the Heart's Newsletter
April 2016, Vol. 2, Issue 11
News:
April 22nd is Earth Day - granted, our Earth deserves and is owed more than one day out of the year. We all need to chip in and do our part in caring for our home. We can no longer continue with the mentality that has led us to where we are. Here are a few simple tips to help care for our Earth and, ultimately, ourselves:
- Don't run water needlessly - when brushing teeth, washing dishes or the car
- Recycle
- Plant bird, butterfly and bee friendly plants that are not covered in pesticides
- Leave the dandelions in your yard for the bees
- Reduce or eliminate your use of pesticides
- Eat organic and locally
- Buy humanely raised meats
- Speak up about harmful actions to the environment - polluting our waters, fracking, air pollution, etc
- Pick up any trash you may find when out and about - recycle it if possible
- Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude - get outdoors and appreciate Mother Nature
Remember to celebrate Earth Day EVERY day. Love, Adrienne :)
I've updated the BE from the Heart website. It now flows better when viewed on cellphones. I added two new videos with some great exercises that are each one minute long. Click on the button below and scroll down the page for the videos. Also, I would love to hear your input on the new site lay out or ideas for new videos.

Chris Jordan - stats as mind-bending art
Chris Jordan takes insane stats and presents them in a powerful and stunning way. It's hard to believe some of these numbers, yet he finds a way to stretch our mind through art. The link below will take you to his website showcasing some of his work. The forest scene depicting how many cigarette butts are discarded every 15 seconds in the U.S. is impressive as is the piece depicting how many birds die daily in the U.S. due to agricultural pesticides. Be sure to click on each piece as it will zoom in or out. Also check out the video below of a Ted Talk he gave. His work is quite extraordinary.
